Christmas is one of our favourite times of year at George & Joseph. Good cheese comes into its own when there are people around the table, bottles being opened and absolutely no need to rush anywhere.
For Christmas 2026, we’ve brought together our favourite cheeses, three specially curated Christmas cheeseboards, hampers, gifts and all the good things that deserve a place alongside them.
Whether you want us to do the choosing for you or you’d rather build your own cheeseboard from scratch, here’s everything you need to know.
Our Christmas 2026 cheeseboards
We’ve created three different selections this year, each designed to make putting a great Christmas cheeseboard on the table as easy as possible.
The Cheese Curious Christmas Selection — £35
For anyone who likes their cheese with a bit of discovery. A carefully chosen selection of artisan cheeses that goes beyond the obvious Christmas classics without becoming too challenging.
The Yorkshire Christmas Cheeseboard — £48
A celebration of brilliant cheese made closer to home. A great choice for anyone who wants their Christmas table to showcase some of the best cheesemaking Yorkshire has to offer.
The G&J Xmas Feast — £75
The big one. A generous festive selection designed for a proper Christmas gathering, with plenty of variety and enough cheese to make the board one of the main events.
All three can be ordered online for click & collect, local delivery or UK-wide delivery where applicable.
Prefer to build your own cheeseboard?
You absolutely can.
Our Cheese for Christmas collection brings together the cheeses we think are particularly good at this time of year, from the classics people expect to see on a Christmas table to a few more indulgent options.
There’s Colston Bassett Stilton, Pitchfork Cheddar and Baron Bigod, alongside truffled cheeses, farmhouse favourites and cheeses for anyone who wants to introduce something a little different.
A good Christmas cheeseboard doesn’t need to be enormous. A few really good cheeses with different styles, textures and strengths will nearly always beat a crowded board.
Don’t forget the accompaniments
Cheese may be the main event, but the things around it matter too.
We’ve put together a Christmas Accompaniments collection including crackers and crispbreads, chutneys, pickles, truffle honey, charcuterie and a few other favourites we think genuinely earn their place on the table.
Our rule is simple: accompaniments should make the cheese taste better, not compete with it.
Christmas gifts for cheese lovers
If you’re buying for someone who really likes their food, we’ve got plenty of options beyond a conventional hamper.
Our Christmas Hampers & Gifts collection includes cheese hampers, our Cheese Advent Calendar, tasting experiences, Cheese School gift cards, prepaid Cheese Club subscriptions and gift vouchers.
And if you leave things later than planned, digital gift vouchers, tasting gifts and subscription gifts will still be available after our physical Christmas pre-orders have closed.

A properly good Christmas cheeseboard
Christmas cheese doesn’t need to be complicated.
Choose cheese you’re genuinely excited to eat, include a mixture of styles and textures, make sure there’s enough of it, and take it out of the fridge in plenty of time before serving.
Then open something good to drink, put the board in the middle of the table and let everybody get on with it.
That’s pretty much our idea of Christmas.
