Baked Tunworth with Rosemary & Garlic

baked camembert with garlic and rosemary before going into the oven

Ingredients:

A Tunworth English Camembert at room temperature

A bunch of fresh Rosemary

As many garlic cloves as you wish

Salt, black pepper and olive oil

We used the cheese box and some tinfoil but you can also splash out and purchase one of our Ceramic Cheese Bakers which look fantastic on a table and slightly more professional than our tinfoil!

Method:

Take the paper wrapper off the Tunworth, place it back in the box, discard the lid.

Place the cheese on parchment paper on a baking tray or we prefer to place it on tinfoil then wrap the foil up the sides of the wooden box to keep the cheese from oozing everywhere.

Using a sharp knife make thin holes all over the surface of the cheese.

Fill each hole with peeled garlic or a piece of rosemary stalk alternately, we also added a few cloves of garlic into the roasting tin too.

Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle a little salt and black pepper.

Place into a pre-heated oven - 180 fan / 200 electric /6 gas.

Leave for about 15 to 20 minutes or until it reaches your desired level of meltedness.

We served it with a Bakerie Baltzersen ciabatta which we also heated in the oven.
