Stichelton is an exquisite traditional English blue cheese crafted from unpasteurised cow's milk. This cheese boasts a creamy, yet crumbly texture, offering a complex flavour profile.
The creation of Stichelton is a revivalist endeavor by cheesemaker Joe Schneider and Randolph Hodgson of Neal's Yard Dairy. They embarked on a mission to restore the authentic taste of raw milk blue cheese, adhering to traditional methods and rejecting modern shortcuts. Handmade in small batches at Collingthwaite Farm on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire, Stichelton reflects a deep respect for cheese-making heritage.
Each wheel of Stichelton is aged to perfection, resulting in a beautifully marbled interior and an earthy aroma. This cheese is perfect for enhancing cheese boards, crumbling over fresh salads, or pairing with robust red wines and ales, providing a genuine taste of English cheesemaking tradition.
