As part of this year's British Cheese Weekender which celebrates the incredible British cheesemaking industry, we will be holding an online event on Friday 23rd April featuring our very own cheesemonger Nick alongside our local favourite Italian cheesemaker, Mario from Yorkshire Pecorino. Our most local cheesemakers, currently based in Adel, North Leeds but shortly moving to brand new premises in nearby Otley.
If you're inserted in joining Nick and Mario join us on Instagram live at 9pm on Friday 23rd April and bring your cheese!
We've created a cheese box full to the brim of his fantastic ewe's milk cheeses especially for the occasion.
Included in the box is at least 600g of cheese, all ewe's pasteurised milk and using traditional animal rennet:
Yorkshire Pecorino Fresco - young, fresh, semi-soft Italian style cheese
Leeds Blue - soft oozy blue similar to a Gorgonzola
Holy Ewe - a 4 - 5 months matured hard cheese
Yorkshire Pecorino Fiore - a more aged, harder version of the Fresco
Ricotta - arrives with us super fresh, soft cheese ideal for cooking sweet and savoury dishes
We are unable to substitute any cheeses in this product at the customer's request. Head to our cheese page if you want to create your own selection.
**PRODUCT SHELF LIFE - with the majority of our cheeses we cut and wrap them fresh to send out, hard cheeses last 7 to 10 days, softs last 5 to 7 days from date of dispatch. Please bear this in mind when choosing your date of delivery, you can choose up to 3 months in advance. We advise you arrange delivery for as close to your planned date of consumption as possible**
We do stock a small number of individually pre-wrapped cheeses which come in with longer best before dates and make a great option to go into hampers that will not be gifted for a while - please email for advise on which cheeses work best in this instance.
